Yep, once I have the center circle all appliqued and sewn on, then I’ll applique the whole dahlia onto a larger piece of background fabric. The goal is to handle the dahlia as little as possible so it doesn’t stretch or distort out of shape. Once it’s appliqued onto a larger background, more borders can be added.

Will it be difficult to applique the whole dahlia to a background fabric. The points
look like they would be difficult to turn under.
